          Luigi "Gigi" D'Alessio (born 24 February 1967) is an Italian popular singer and singer-songwriter from Naples.

          D'Alessio achieved international benefit with his single "Un cuore malato", a duet with Belgian-Sicilian singer Lara Fabian.

          In his career, he has sold over 30 million records. Camorra repentant Luigi Giuliano stated that D’Alessio success was initially funded by his clan.[1]

          Career

          D'Alessio was born in Naples.

          He was well known in Naples in the early 1990s and throughout Italy due to participation in the Sanremo Festival in 2000 and 2001. He has also made overseas appearances, the most recent was in Malta on 7 July 2012.
