          Every year the nation pauses, reflects and commemorates the impact and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. In truth, King’s life was complex and can hardly be defined by examining the modern-day Civil Rights Movement.

          King did not set out to become the leader of this massive movement that would take control of his life.

          How did he become a troublemaker who could not leave well enough alone? How did this son of the Deep South become the man we celebrate today? His life was short, only living 21 years after turning 18, yet he made unbelievable strides for his people.
